(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Thursday, 06 November 2025) At 3:00 AM today, the center of Typhoon "TINO" {KALMAEGI} was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of Taytay, Palawan (11.1°N, 119.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 165 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Light to Moderate rains are expected over #TawiTawi(TurtleIslands), #ZamboangaDelNorte, #ZamboangaSibugay(Payao, Imelda and Malangas) within the next 2-3 hours. Moderate to occasionally heavy rains are being experienced in #TawiTawi(Mapun), #Sulu(Pangutaran), #ZamboangaSibugay(Alicia, Mabuhay, Talusan and Olutanga) which may persist within 2-3 hours and may affect nearby areas.

Meat vendors, FRs, women association receive training on meat processing in Madrid

MADRID, Surigao del Sur -- The local government unit of Madrid in Surigao del Sur, through the Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) and the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWDO), in collaboration with the 36th Infantry Battalion Philippine Army, and Department of Social Welfare and Development - Sustainable Livelihood Program (DSWD-SLP) successfully conducted a training for meat processing on longaniza and chorizo making last June 7 to 9, 2023 at Madrid Convention Center, Madrid, Surigao del Sur.

The said activity was participated by meat vendors, former rebels (FRs) and women association like Rural Improvement Club (RIC) Magsaysay chapter, in which they learned  the different techniques for meat processing and how to make longaniza and chorizo in different flavors.

The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Surigao del Sur, Department of Science and Technology (DOST), and the Integrated Business Permits and Licensing System of the Municipal Treasurer's Office provided assistance and expertise during the said training.
