AgSur cops gear up war on drugs, net 3 drug personalities
PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- In a more intensified campaign against illegal drugs, three drug personalities were intercepted trhough buy bust operation from the combined forces of San Francisco Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Nathaniel Agatep, officer-in-charge, and the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA)-Agusan del Sur on May 28, 2023 at Purok-4, Barangay Karaos, San Francisco, this province.
Said suspects arrested were
identified as Judyvine Constancia Bambisa, male, 27 years old, single, glass
installer and resident of Purok-5A, Barangay Karaos, San Francisco, Agusan del
Sur; Ailen Verano Manili, female, 33 years old, single, unemployed and resident
of Purok-1 Liboo, Barangay Diatagon, Lianga, Surigao del Sur; and Julius Verana
Cagadas, male, 23 years old, single, security guard, and resident of Purok-1
Unit 1, Barangay Diatagon, Lianga, Surigao del Sur.
Recovered from the suspects
were the following: three pieces heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets
containing white crystalline substance of suspected shabu with total weight of
11 grams and estimated street market value of P74,800; one piece P1,000 peso
bill buy bust money; four pieces P1,000 peso bill boodle money; assorted
paraphernalia; and one red Oppo android phone.
Arrested suspects and the
confiscated items were in custody of PDEA-Agusan del Sur for proper
disposition.
Police Colonel Jovito
Canlapan, provincial director of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office
(ADSPPO), lauded the joint efforts of the said law enforcement agencies for
intensifying the campaign against illegal drugs and apprehending illegal drug
personalities.
“This notable breakthrough
is a result of the smooth coordination between the PNP and the PDEA as well as
the indispensable cooperation of the community in suppressing drug
proliferation in the Province," Canlapan said.
