Top 8 MWP, manhunt charlie arrested in AgSur

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- The Top 8 most wanted person (MWP) for the crime of attempted murder, under manhunt charlie - municipal level was intercepted by the personnel of Esperanza Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by Police Major Carmelo Malubay, chief of police, on May 26, 2023 at Purok-3, Barangay Guadalupe, Esperanza, this province.


By virtue of Alias Warrant of Arrest for the crime of attempted murder under criminal case no. 7547 issued and signed by Ferdinand Recodo Villanueva, executive judge of Branch 7, Bayugan City, Agusan del Sur dated May 9, 2023 with bail bond amounting to P120,000, the elements of the aforementioned MPS wasted no time and apprehended the said suspect identified as Judy Quijada Galos alias “Jud,” 34 years old, single, laborer and resident of the said place.


Arrested suspect is now under the custody of Esperanza MPS for proper disposition.


Police Colonel Jovito Canlapan, provincial director of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) commended the efforts of Esperanza MPS for their mindfulness, alertness in running after the most wanted persons in the province for the crimes they have committed.


“I highly commend the personnel of Esperanza Municipal Police Station in apprehending the Top 8 most wanted person. This will serve as a stern warning to the fugitives of justice that are still lurking in the province that the strong hands of PNP AgSur will not rest in putting them behind bars to deliver justice to the family and friends of their victims," said Canlapan.
