DTI evaluates gaps of women's association in PDI

SAN JOSE, Dinagat Islands -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Dinagat Islands conducted a pre-assessment on Assessment, Consultation, and Triage (ACT) for non-food products to the members of Navarro Women's Association held at the barangay hall of Barangay Navarro, Basilisa town in the province of Dinagat Islands.

The activity identified the gaps, needs, and other opportunities for the association that the DTI can intervene to enhance the skills and capability of the members and to harmonize developmental plans for the association under the program on One Town One Product (OTOP).

The association has been producing mats, hats and bags made out of Romblon weaves. But production on romblon bags stopped because it was greatly affected by Super Typhoon Odette. At present, the members have slowly recovered and continued to produce mats.  (DTI-Dinagat Islands/PIA-Dinagat Islands)
