Possible flash floods or landslides during moderate to at times heavy rains. Rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms caused by Easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to north prevails over the eastern section with moderate to rough seas (2.1 to 3.5 meters). One-stop shop highlights Buwan ng Magsasaka, Mangingsda in Carrascal

CARRASCAL, Surigao del Sur -- The local government unit of Carrascal under the administration of Mayor Vicente H. Pimentel III, through the Municipal Agriculture Office successfully celebrated the Buwan ng Magsasaka at Mangingisda 2023 with the theme, "Masaganang Agrikultura, Maunlad na Ekonomiya."

The Farmers and Fisherfolk Month is commemorated annually every month of May, by virtue of Presidential Proclamation No. 33 issued on May 21, 1989, to honor of the hardworking farmers and fisherfolk for their invaluable contributions in achieving food security in the country even during unpropitious circumstances.

A One-stop shop offering the following services on agriculture and fisheries highlighted the event: 

1. Distribution of Vegetable Seeds

2. Rice crop manager (RCM) Fertilizer Recommendation

3. Philippine Crop Insurance Corporation (PCIC) Insurance Application

4. Registry System for the Basic Sectors in Agriculture (RSBA) Registration

5. Inbred Rice Competitiveness Enhancement Fund (RCEF) & Hybrid (Hybridization Research Program) Rice Seeds Distribution

6. Partial distribution of gasoline for fisherfolk under the Department of Labor and Employment Integrated Livelihood and Emergency Employment Program (DOLE DILEEP), and
