It is moving Westward slowly. Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands and Camiguin Island will have rains with gusty winds due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains with at times intense rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. While the rest Northern Mindanao, the rest of Caraga, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will have Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong winds from Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 2.8 meters). Elsewhere, moderate to strong winds from the Northwest to Southwest with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters). MAFAMUCO, LGU-San Miguel hold pre-construction conference for INSPIRE Project

SAN MIGUEL, Surigao del Sur -- The Department of Agriculture(DA) Caraga through the Livestock Program and Regional Agricultural Engineering Division, joined the conduct of the Pre-construction Conference for the construction of the Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion (INSPIRE) Project on April 3, 2023 in San Miguel town, of this province.

The conference was initiated by the Magroyong Farmers Multipurpose Cooperative (MAFAMUCO) and the local government unit of San Miguel through the Municipal Engineering Office, and Municipal Agriculturist Office (MAO) as the proponent and implementing units of the project.

The activity is conducted to have a smooth implementation and safe completion of the INSPIRE project which is worth P5.5 million, and funds was downloaded to MAFAMUCO as procuring entity of the DA Caraga Livestock Program.

The members of MAFAMUCO led by General Manager Joirene Campomanes, with the full support of the LGU headed by Mayor Michael Corilla, Municipal Agriculturist Ulysses Ravelo, Municipal Engineer Nazarre Jimenez, DA Caraga team from the Livestock Program including the Regional Agricultural Engineering Division engineers, Department of Agriculture-Agricultural Program Coordinating Office (DA-APCO) staff, and the winning bidder of the project - PhilRussia Construction Services, all joined the conference.

The INSPIRE Program is a recovery and repopulation program of the Department of Agriculture for the hog sector, directly responding to the needs of the industry, given the African Swine Fever problem. (PIA-Surigao del Sur)
