(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Sunday, 07 December 2025) At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "WILMA" was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Matuguinao, Samar (12.2°N 125.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Shear Line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.1 meters). Elsewhere, moderate winds from the northwest to southwest to southeast with moderate seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters).

ADSPPO implements Oplan SUMVAC

AGUSAN DEL SUR -- With the influx of the general public to the different churches and places of convergence in this year’s observance of Lenten Season, Police Colonel (PCol.) Jovito Canlas Canlapan, provincial director, conducted the inspection of established Police Assistance Desks within the province in relation to the implementation of “Oplan Ligtas Summer Vacation (SUMVAC) 2023” for a safe and sound observance of the Holy Week (Semana Santa).

Said inspection validated the readiness of the deployed personnel in the maintenance of peace and order and public safety of the general public to avoid any untoward incidents.

 

This activity also exemplifies the chief PNP's Peace and Security Strategic Framework Program MKK=K (Malasakit, Kaayusan, Kapayapaan tungo sa Kaunlaran). 

 

“We are conducting this inspection because we want to make sure that minimum public health standards as well as peace and order are maintained at all points of convergence across Agusan del Sur,” Canlapan said.

 

This is in line with the Process Excellence (Kaayusan at Kapayapaan of M+K+K=K) perspective of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 under the Objective of Improving Crime Prevention strategy of the Province. (ADSPPO/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
