AgSur PNP readies for a peaceful Holy Week, kicks off ‘Bisikleta Iglesia’

AGUSAN DEL SUR – The Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) through Police Colonel (PCol.) Jovito Canlapan, provincial director, presided over the emergency blended conference with provincial staff and chiefs of police stations to ensure the safety and security of the residents and visiting AgSurnons.

The conference was attended by police officers from Agusan del Sur police stations and was conducted to ensure the safety and security of the public during the observance of the Holy Week.

The conference included various security presentations and discussion of important topics such as the relevant announcements and other updates from the provincial staff, guidance of the command group and the Kick-off Ceremony of "Bisikleta Iglesia" in the province, an initiative of the Philippine National Police (PNP) national headquarters.

Canlapan constantly reminds all chiefs to inform the public of their hotline numbers so that the community can easily contact them through text or call anytime, anywhere. He directed them to utilize all available channels of communication especially social media to propagate crime prevention information and awareness. Further, he directed them to maintain the good rapport established in the community.

"Let us assure the public that the AgSur cops are prepared to respond to any emergency situations that may arise during the Holy Week. We shall remain vigilant and ready to serve and protect the public,"  Canlapan shared his challenge to all unit heads.

”We wish for a solemn and reflective Holy week. May this season be an opportunity for us to renew our faith. Let us take this time to remember the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and be inspired by his teachings of love, forgiveness and compassion. May all find peace and hope in this season of grace. God bless you all as you perform your noble mandates," he added.

This activity is in line with the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L Plan 2030 under the Community perspective (Malasakit of M+K+K=K) perspective of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 in developing a safer place to live, work, and do business in the province. (ADSPPO/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
