PNP AgSur joins 2023 National Women’s Month kick-off celebration 

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – The personnel from the Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO) led by Police Colonel (PCol) Jovito C. Canlapan, Provincial Director conducted the Traditional Monday Flag Raising Ceremony and National Women’s Month Celebration and Awarding of Deserving Philippine National Police (PNP) personnel with Jenalyn U. Tan, Investigation Agent V of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA), as the Guest of Honor and Speaker, on March 6, 2023 at the ADSPPO Covered Court, Camp D.O. Plaza, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, this province.

The ceremony recognizes police stations and individuals who have displayed exemplary acts of bravery and diligent dedication to duties covering the period of February 20-26, 2023.

On various operational accomplishments, the Esperanza Municipal Police Station (MPS) grabbed the Top One spot followed by Bunawan MPS as Top Two and lastly Prosperidad MPS as Top Three. Giving of awards to deserving police women who have contributed in the field of Investigation for Women and Children covering the period of 4th quarter CY2022 and stakeholders of Agusan del Sur was also conducted. 

Meanwhile, Certificate of Commendation was given to Police Corporal (PCpl.) Rachel C. Ensomo, Women and Children Protection Desk (WCPD) Investigator of San Francisco MPS for having the most number of gender based-violence (GVB) investigated; Police Staff Sergeant (PSSg) Emely N. Delector of Rosario MPS for her timely submission of WCPD compliances and reports; PSMS Jeany Vie E. Escobido of Sta Josefa MPS for having the most number of Community Advocacy Campaign conducted pertinent to women and children’s laws; and PEMS Anabelle  C. Celino, Complaint and Referral PNCO of PCADU, for the successful conduct of various activities of ADSPPO.

Another Special Commendation was given to Roselle N. Silagan, Punong Barangay of Del Monte, Talacogon, ADS together with his Councilors and Brgy. Tanods. Plaque of Appreciation is also awarded to Mr. Richard G. Grande, Former President of ADSPPO Press Corps.

Canlapan formally opened the submission of entries for the Mother-Child Got Talent 2023 and Ulirang Ina Contest, an initiative of ADSPPO in relation to the month-long celebration.

“Feminism is not about making women strong; women are already strong, it’s about changing how the world perceives strength. Feminism is all about women empowerment. A paradigm that women can make things happen with men and through men,” emphasized Tan  of PDEA.

The activity ended at about 8:30 a.m. of the same day after the singing of PNP Lingkod ng Bayan and exchange of photo opportunities and pleasantries.

This is in line with the Learning and Growth (Malasakit of M+K+K=K) perspective of the PNP P.A.T.R.O.L. Plan 2030 under the Objective of Developing a competent, well-motivated and value oriented police personnel and organization in relation to the Transformation Program of the Organization.
