KaltaSSS-Collect, E-Center all set in Brgy. Bayanihan
BUTUAN CITY -- The Barangay Bayanihan in Butuan City recently joined in the Social Security System's (SSS) KaltaSSS-Collect and E-Center sa Barangay after signing a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with SSS Butuan branch.
SSS Butuan Branch Head Perkins B. Calixtro and the officials of Barangay Bayanihan under the leadership of Punong Barangay Wilo M. Montero took part in the ceremonial signing of the said MOA on March 15, 2023 at the Bayanihan Barangay Hall.
The KaltaSSS-Collect program provides social security protection to 53 barangay workers and officials who are not covered by Government Service and Insurance System (GSIS). Instead, they will be registered as self-employed members of the SSS while Barangay Bayanihan shall be responsible in the timely remittance of monthly contribution of the members through automatic salary deduction scheme.
Barangay Bayanihan's active participation in the program guarantees the eligibility of the barangay workers and officials to social security and employees compensation benefits, including loan privileges of SSS. (SSS-Butuan/PIA-Caraga)
