Five local government units of the province with a total of 1,365 beneficiaries received their financial assistance at the Provincial Capitol Covered Court. These include the beneficiaries from Remedios T. Romualdez with 78; Jabonga with 107; 510 from Buenavista; Las Nieves with 221; and Cabadbaran City with 449.

Each beneficiary received P3,000 financial assistance under the Assistance to Individuals in Crisis Situation (AICS) program of the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

The senator also assured the governor and the Agusanons present during the distribution of financial assistance of her support and vowed to provide additional budget to the province to help uplift the living conditions of the poor sector.

“I will continue to look into the plight of the poor and the farmers, provide them with assistance that will help improve their living conditions,” she said.

Marcos also announced that starting April of this year, each qualified rice farmer will receive P5,000 as rice subsidy through the Department of Agriculture (DA).
