It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Shear Line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.1 meters). Elsewhere, moderate winds from the northwest to southwest to southeast with moderate seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters).

LBDA council holds conference to strengthen alliance

CARRASCAL, Surigao del Sur -- The Lanuza Bay Development Alliance (LBDA) conducted its First Quarter Council meeting, today, March 17, 2023, at Oazis Beach Resort, Carrascal, SDS.

Said meeting was presided by LBDA Chair and also the Carrascal Mayor Vicente H. Pimentel III, attended by Carmen Mayor Jane V. Plaza, Lanuza Mayor Marvin Plaza, LBDA Executive Director Atty. Leodirico Avila, Jr..

The local government unit concerned employees and representatives from six (6) municipalities of Carrascal, Cantilan, Madrid, Carmen, Lanuza, Cortes, and the City of Tandag were also present during the conference.

Mayor VJ Pimentel III, in his message, urged the members to effectively sustain the joint efforts to revive and continue socio-economic initiatives in coastal and forest resource development, eco-tourism, and agricultural and enterprise development.

He further stressed the significance of the active participation of each municipality to strengthen the alliance toward the fulfillment of the LBDA’s vision. (NGPB/LGU-Carrascal/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
