25 FR-beneficiaries receive Livelihood Settlement Grant in SurSur

TANDAG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- The Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur through the Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office (PSWDO) facilitated the release of the Livelihood Settlement Grant to the former rebel-beneficiaries in Surigao del Sur today, September 22 at the Governor Vicente T. Pimentel Jr. Hall in Tandag City.

The release of the grant is funded under the Sustainable  Livelihood Program implemented by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga Regional Office.

During the activity, DSWD Caraga personnel initiated the ceremonial turnover of the Livelihood Settlement Grants amounting to P500,000.00 to  the Provincial Government of Surigao del Sur.

A total of 25 former rebels who are beneficiaries of the  Livelihood Settlement Grant and each received the cash amounting to P20,000.00 on the same day and venue.

The Landbank personnel were also present during the release of the cash assistance for the convenience and safety of the beneficiaries.

The said activity is part of the Whole-of-Nation Approach participated by the officials/representatives from the Provincial Government Office of Surigao del Sur, National Government Agencies, and partner stakeholders involved in implementation as compliance to Executive Order No.70. (NGPB/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
