1502nd RRIBn grabs 2nd place in 15RCDG DRRO challenge

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur – The Disaster Relief and Rescue Team of the 1502nd (Agusan del Sur) Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (1502 RRIBn) was declared winner in "Best in Basic Life Support/Bandaging”, “Best in Emergency Rescue Transfer”, and second (2nd) placer in “Disaster Relief and Rescue Operation (DRRO) Challenge” in the activity conducted by the 15th Regional Community Defense Group (15RCDG).

This is in commemoration of the 39th Founding Anniversary of the Reserve Command (RESCOM), Philippine Army (PA), held on September 19 to 20, 2022, at Masao Beach, Butuan City.

The competition was participated by four Community Defense Centers (CDC) under the administration of 15RCDG, which comprised of 1501st (Agusan del Norte), 1502nd (Agusan del Sur), 1503rd (Surigao del Norte), and 1504th (Surigao del Sur).

Each CDC was represented by one Organic personnel and eight Reservist personnel in the following events: Emergency Rescue Transfer, Bandaging, Knot Tying, 100 Meter Swimming, Rubber Boat Handling, and Water Rescue.

Meanwhile the over-all champion will represent Caraga Region to compete against all other Regional Community Defense Group under the RESCOM, PA in a nationwide competition. (2Lt Adones L. Apilada, Executive Officer, 1502nd CDC, 15RCDG/PIA-Agusan del Sur)
