DOLE AgSur Field Office exhibits core programs for MSMEs

AGUSAN DEL SUR -- The Department of Labor and Employment Agusan del Sur Field Office (DOLE ADSFO) shared the DOLE programs and services to the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) employers of Agusan del Sur during a forum held last July 18, 2022 at Ernielita’s Event and Dormitel, Patin-ay, Prosperidad, this province. 

The forum is part of the celebration of the National MSME Week 2022 duly facilitated by the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Agusan del Sur.

Engr. Rey P. Dumalaba from DOLE ADSFO imparted information and updates on the department's activities and programs to MSME employers. Included in his discussion were Information on Labor Education, recent wage hikes, policies and guidelines, and best practices being indulged by the Field Office to the employers, to name, facilitation of Safety Officer Training and First Aid Training for Occupational SSafety and Health Compliances and in-house or municipal level information drive for Labor Education.

Provincial Governor Hon. Santiago B. Cane, Jr., emphasized the importance and contribution of MSMEs to economic growth and poverty alleviation, and lauded the participating government agencies present for the knowledge shared during the program.

The forum was partnered with and attended by representatives from the Provincial Small and Medium Enterprise Development (SMED) Council, Social Security System (SSS), Philippine Health (Philhealth) Insurance Corporation, and the Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR).
