SURSECO-I pays tribute to its Linemen through the celebration of Appreciation Day

BISLIG CITY, Surigao del Sur -- The Surigao del Sur Electric Cooperative-I (SURSECO-I) pays tribute to the hard work and dedication of the Warriors of Light through the conduct of the Linemen Appreciation Day on August 1, 2022 held at the Member Consumer Owners Center in Bislig City.

The cooperative's very own Mga Sundalo ng Pailaw attended a half-day virtual event facilitated by the Philippine Rural Electric Cooperative Association (PHILRECA) on the same day.

The linemen heard various messages from speakers in the field of Rural Electrification. They also participated in a short webinar where they learned their significance and relevance in the energy sector and the need to address career advancement through the professionalization of the Electrical Cooperative linemen.

After lunch, the linemen were re-oriented on the different discussions on the operation of the Cooperative. Thereafter,  General Manager Moralda shared an Inspiration Message and presented the Certificates of Appreciation.

And just in time for their special day, safety personal equipment such as safety shoes, hard hats, and reflectorized vests were distributed to them.

The tribute may just be a simple way to celebrate their contribution to rural electrification but this is also a manifestation of sincerest appreciation to them as they brave the  heat, rain, and storms just to keep the power on and continue the good service our member-consumer-owners deserve.
