Possible landslides or flashfloods due to moderate to at times heavy rains. Rest of Mindanao will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Easterlies. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Light to moderate winds from the east to northeast with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.5 meters).

Drug operatives nab pusher selling shabu in Siargao

A drug pusher was arrested by the joint anti-drug operatives of Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) Regional Office XIII, Surigao del Norte Police Provincial Office-Provincial Drug Enforcement Unit (SDNPPO-PDEU), and Dapa Municipal Police Station in the evening of August 11, 2022. The suspect was caught in the act selling the  methamphetamine hydrochloride locally known as "shabu" to an undercover agent of the government.

Anti-drug operatives identified the suspect as Ricky Camingue Gerarcas who was apprehended at Barangay 13, Dapa, where the drug entrapment operation transpired.

An estimated amount of Php520,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized from the suspect that comprised the buy-bust item confiscated from him and the illegal drugs recovered from his possession. In addition, one unit of Mio motorcycle, the cellular phone of the suspect, and his identification card were also confiscated from him which form part of the inventory of seized non-drug evidence.
