(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Sunday, 02 November 2025) Today, November 2, the Caraga Regional Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (RDRRMC), together with local DRRM offices (LDRRMOs), convened for a Pre-Disaster Risk Assessment (PDRA) Scenario Building meeting to address the emerging threat of Tropical Storm 'TINO,' which entered the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) at 5:30 AM. 📍 TS Tino is forecast to make landfall over Eastern Visayas or Caraga between Monday evening (Nov. 3) and Tuesday morning (Nov. 4). Wind Signal No. 1 is now raised over Dinagat Islands, with more signals expected across the region. ⚠️ Possible hazards include: -Flooding -Landslides -Storm surge -Strong winds ✅ The public is strongly advised to: -Take precautionary measures and follow pre-emptive evacuation, if needed; -Prepare emergency kits and evacuation plans; -Stay informed via official sources: DOST-PAGASA, RDRRMC, LDRRMOs, PIA, and other government channels. In view of Tropical Storm Tino, which is currently inside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and may affect the province of Agusan del Norte by tomorrow morning, the Agusan del Norte Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (PDRRMC)has recommended the suspension of classes in all levels across the entire province, effective tomorrow, November 3, 2025.

Newly-elected LCE in Sibagat town accepts responsibilities

BUTUAN CITY -- Outgoing Municipal Mayor Maria Liza L. Evangelista has turned over her responsibilities, pertinent records, and documents signifying the concrete plans for the succeeding years to the newly proclaimed Local Chief Executive (LCE), Dr. Thelma G. Lamanilao. 

Outgoing LCE Evangelista formally handed over the symbolic key of responsibility, as well as the books to Mayor Lamanilao, which took place recently at the Municipal Hall Lobby of Sibagat, Agusan del Sur. 

“Ako muingon kaninyo. Please support our new local chief executive. Hinaut pa unta dili kita mawala in terms of implementing the projects, programs, activities laid down in our Comprehensive Development Plan,” said outgoing Mayor Evangelista in her message. 

In response, Municipal Mayor Dr. Thelma Lamanilao thanked and lauded Mayor Evangelista as her legacy marked in the hearts of the Sibagatnons in championing excellence in local governance through the whole of the nation approach. 

“We must come together in the process of making and implementing decisions, policies, and the development programs, projects, activities, and services; bearing in our hearts the PANTHER principle --- Participation, Accountability, Non-Discrimination, Transparency, Human Dignity, and the Rule of Law… Let us continue the race that outgoing Mayor Liza started,” said Mayor Lamanilao in her acceptance speech.
