28 micro enterprises receive livelihood kits from DTI in SurSur

BAROBO, Surigao del Sur -- Some 28 micro enterprises, beneficiaries of the Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa program (PPG) received the livelihood kits from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Surigao del Sur Provincial Office recently held in Brgy. Ban-as, Lianga, and Brgy. Tambis, Barobo respectively all of this province.

The Chief Trade and Industry Development Specialist Bema Theresa Vasquez on her message highlighted the importance of the program and encouraged them to properly manage and expand the livelihood provided by the government.

Also, the barangay captains of Ban-as Hon. Kordel Sarceda and barangay Tambis Hon. Francisca Alguzar has expressed their gratitude to DTI for assisting micro-enterprises in their respective barangays and encouraged beneficiaries to utilize the grant and knowledge to improve their businesses.

The Pangkabuhayan sa Pagbangon at Ginhawa program aimed to assist individuals and families who are beneficiaries of the balik probinsya program and those affected by calamities.

The program will capacitate the beneficiaries with business management tools and provide them with P8,000.00 worth of livelihood support to help them recover and/or restart their businesses, it was learned. (with report from Cresal Grace Malabanan, DTI/PIA-Surigao del Sur)
