Preparations for the NLE 2022 peaceful, orderly - PNP AgNor

BUTUAN CITY – The Philippine National Police (PNP) Agusan del Norte together with the Philippine Army, and other concerned agencies take full control on the peace and order situation of the province in relation to the conduct of the National and Local Elections (NLE) on Monday, May 9, 2022, said PNP Agusan del Norte spokesperson PMaj Emerson Alipit in an interview with Philippine Information Agency (PIA), Agusan del Norte.

“Peace and order in the province is still under control despite report of incidents that need to be confirmed and investigated if they are election-related incidents or not,” PMaj Alipit said.

To achieve a successful conduct of the NLE, according to PMaj. Alipit, some 800 personnel of the PNP Agusan del Norte were deployed to the different areas of the municipalities to perform election-related works.

When asked on the challenges encountered during the preparations, PMaj Alipit mentioned the lack of communication signals in far flung areas, and the those areas unreachable by motor vehicles. Despite of the challenges, all were given remedy and alternative solutions, and because of the contingency plan being prepared.

Also, a simulation exercise was conducted to address problems that may encounter during the elections.

PMaj. Alipit also calls on supporters to stay calm and refrain from joining any chaos to attain a secure, accurate, free, and fair elections. (NCLM/PIA Agusan del Norte)
