BUENAVISTA, Agusan del Norte -- Students and teachers of Bilay National High School in Butuan City are set to participate for the upcoming Forum on Adolescent Sexual and Reproductive Health - Teenage Pregnancy Prevention this April 28, 2022 to be held right at the school campus.

The Commission on Population and Development (POPCOM) – Caraga is supporting the activity organized by the Office of the Supreme Student Government of Bilay National High School under the Youth Formation Division program of the Department of Education (DepEd).

Angelita Antonio, POPCOM Caraga program manager for Adolescent Health and Development, will talk about teenage pregnancy prevention and adolescent health development. Mini-movies depicting the consequences of early teen pregnancy will be shown to the student participants.

POPCOM-Caraga continues to support DepEd in strengthening its thrust in conferring correct and trustworthy information to adolescents regarding sexual health development. The provision of ASRH services to young people is one of the concrete responses to the recently issued Executive Order No. 141, which declares teen pregnancy as a national emergency concern. (Gabrielle Paolo M.
