Duterte Legacy Caravan reaches Siargaonons

BUTUAN CITY -- The Dapa Municipal Police Station conducted a Duterte Legacy Caravan Thursday, April 28, at Brgy. Union, Dapa, Surigao del Norte province, with the participation of various national government agencies and sectoral groups. 

A total of 70 beneficiaries, mostly members of a fisherfolk group in the said barangay, availed of the services from the said municipal station, Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG),  Bureau of Jail Management and Penology (BJMP), Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP),  Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), and the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) such as information, communication, and education (IEC) materials, food packs, and seedlings. 

"This activity was made possible through the active participation of our partner government agencies and [our] ever generous stakeholders, Congressman Francisco 'Bingo' Matugas Mayor Elizabeth T. Matugas, Emerita G. Sulapas,  Aida G, Sarmiento, and others," the Dapa MPS said in a statement. 

The Duterte Legacy Caravan Thru Convergence of All Government Agencies aims to ensure and provide effective, integrated and fiscally responsible aid and humanitarian support to the people in times of emergencies such as the Covid-19 pandemic, current economic crisis, and disaster.
