Organized fisherfolks receive livelihood assistance from LGU in SurSur town

CARRASCAL, Surigao del Sur – The Dahican Agri-Fishery Integrated Association (DAGFINTEGRAS) of Barangay Dahican and United Fishermen Association (UFA) of Barangay Doyos, all in Carrascal town, formally received the checks for their livelihood projects during the turnover held on November 5, 2021, at the town's Executive Building.

The DAGFINTEGRAS received a total amount of Php 581,500.00 for the implementation of their milkfish culture in floating cages while the UFA received Php 300,000.00 as capitalization for their buy-and-sell of fishery products. 

Both projects are part of the LGU's livelihood program prioritized by Carrascal Mayor Vicente Pimentel III, with the support of the legislators led by Vice Mayor Jesse James T. Valle, which aims to help fisherfolks achieve financial stability by providing them sustainable and productive livelihood opportunities. (LGU-Carrascal/PIA-SUrigao del Sur)
