AgNor SP approves IP Code 

BUTUAN CITY -- The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of the province of Agusan del Norte during its 111th regular session held recently has approved on 3rd and final reading the Provincial Ordinance No. 601-2021, presided by Vice Governor Ramon Bungabong.

The Provincial Ordinance No. 601-2021 entitled “The Agusan del Norte Indigenous Peoples Comprehensive Welfare and Development Code, Appropriating Funds Thereof and for Other Purposes,” was authored by Vice Gov. Bungabong with co-authors Provincial Board Members Eddie “Datu Bawang” S. Ampiyawan, chairman of the Committee on Indigenous Peoples Concern, and members Provincial Board Members Dick Victor B. Carmona and Virgilio R. EscasiƱas, Jr.

Among the items included in the Indigenous Peoples (IP) Code are the rights, privileges, and responsibilities of the IPs.
