Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. Northern Mindanao and the rest of Caraga will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TS “Ada”. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. The eastern section of Mindanao will have moderate to strong winds from west to southwest with moderate to rough seas (2.1 to 3.4 meters). The rest of Mindanao will have light to moderate winds from northeast to northwest with slight to moderate seas (0.6 to 2.5 meters). At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Storm "ADA" {NOKAEN} was estimated based on all available data at 270 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (12.1°N, 127.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 65 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 80 km/h. It is moving Northwestward at 20 km/h. Northeast Monsoon affecting Northern and Central Luzon.

Lokal na pamahalaan ng Agusan del Norte, patuloy ang pagbigay tulong para sa mga former rebels

LUNGSOD NG BUTUAN -- Bukod sa halfway house kung saan pansamantalang nakatira ang mga former rebels na pinondohan ng lokal na pamahalaan ng Agusan del Norte, isang livelihood training center ang  itinurn-over ng Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) sa probinsya.

Sa nasabing halfway house livelihood training center ay nagkakahalaga ng P5 Million pondo ng DILG bilang tulong sa probinsya upang patuloy ang suportang maibigay sa mga former rebels at sa layuning hasain pa ang kakayanan ng mga ito.

Si Ronald, isa sa apat na batang former rebels, ay masaya at laking pasalamat nito sa gobyerno dahil aniya ay mas lalawak pa ang kanyang kalaaman.

“Nagpapasalamat ako sa gobyerno dahil tinanggap nila ako at sa mga binigay nilang tulong sa akin tulad ng livelihood,” tugon ni Ronald.

Tiniyak naman ni Governor Dale Corvera na bago ang re-integration ng mga former rebels ay gagawing functional din ang nasabing training center sa tulong ng TESDA at ibang pang mga partner agencies.

Hinikayat din ni Agusan del Norte 2nd District Representative Maria Angelica Rosedell Amante-Matba ang mga former rebels na dapat matuto habang nasa halfway house pa sila at huwag sayangin ang tulong ng gobyerno sa kanila at lalo na huaw sayangin ang panahon na matuto.

Sa blessing at turn-over ng livelihood training center, ay nagbigay din ang Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict  ng gift packs, food packs, hygiene kits at cash assistance sa mga former rebels. (NCLM, PIA Agusan del Norte)
