More livestock interventions for Surigao Norte women's org

SIARGAO ISLAND, Surigao del Norte – The Department of Agriculture (DA) Caraga rolled out its livestock intervention to San Benito Women’s Association in San Benito town.

A total of P635,640 worth of intervention was turned over recently by the DA Caraga through its Livestock Program to the said association.

The intervention was comprised of 600 heads of free-range chicken amounting to P360,000; some 100 bags of Grower Mash Feeds amounting to P177,000; some 60 bags of Layer Mash Feed amounting to P92,000; and two rolls of perimeter net.

As part of attaining food security, income enhancement, profitability, and sustainability, the given intervention was lodged under the livestock-based livelihood and enterprise development program of the Regional Livestock Program.

The turn-over ceremony was attended by Governor Francisco T. Matugas and assisted by the Provincial Veterinary Office of Surigao del Norte spearheaded by Dr. Shiela Cubillanes. (DA-Caraga/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
