PIA chief to keynote RSPC 2017 in Cabadbaran City

CABADBARAN CITY, Agusan del Norte, Nov. 11 (PIA) – Around 5,000 delegates from the 12 divisions of the Department of Education (DepEd) in Caraga region will participate in the Regional Schools Press Conference (RSPC) 2017, which will be held at the city gymnasium of Cabadbaran from Nov. 13 to 17, 2017.

With the theme “Embracing ASEAN Integration: Campus Journalists’ Role in Advancing Inclusive Education,” RSPC 2017 aims to equip and provide students with knowledge, skills and experience in campus journalism. 

This year's host division is Cabadbaran City Division, in cooperation with the city government of Cabadbaran.

Undersecretary Harold Clavite, Director-General of the Philippine Information Agency (PIA), will be the keynote speaker for the activity on November 15, 2017.

“This year’s hosting of the RSPC is now ready. The preparations of the DepEd Cabadbaran City division, together with the strong partnership of the city government of Cabadbaran created good teamwork,” said Schools Division Superintendent Dr. Lorenzo O. Macasocol.


Macasocol also noted that different committees have been working hard to make the event successful. “Everyone is working hard together to accomplish what is needed for hosting the event,” Macasocol reiterated. (NCLM/PIA-Agusan del Norte)
