Let's all participate in this noble event as we will break the record of India having the biggest number of planted trees simultaneously in multiple locations in one hour," he highlighted.

"In Caraga region, there are 23,278 planters in Caraga region. This is based on the National Greening Program sites identified. As expected, one planter can plant 20 seedlings. There are also other sectors that will be participating in this historic event," Tamayo added.

Tamayo further clarified that with or without this record breaking event, the department with its partners will continue to reforest the environment. “We shall hit our target before 2016. With the help of our local government units, we will make this possible. Let's make everyday an Arbor Day here in Caraga region," he said.
