Surigao City receives 3 water pumps from DA

SURIGAO CITY, June 17 (PIA) – The city agriculture office has received a total of three water from the Department of Agriculture-Regional Office 13 to be distributed to the three barangays of the city.

City Agriculturist Isaias Elumba bared that the said water pumps will be used for the irrigation system of barangays Mat-I, Togbongon and Brgy. Quezon.

"These water pumps will surely be of great help for the farmers especially during summer time and drought," Elumba said.

He also bared that four more water pumps are scheduled to arrive by the end of this year.

On his part, City Mayor Ernesto Matugas expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Department of Agriculture-Regional Office 13 for allocating the said water pumps and to the City Agriculture Office, as well. (SDR/City PIO/PIA-Surigao del Norte)
