(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Wednesday, 05 November 2025) At 3:00 AM today, the center of Typhoon "TINO" {KALMAEGI} was estimated based on all available data over the coastal waters of Taytay, Palawan (11.1°N, 119.9°E) with maximum sustained winds of 120 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 165 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Light to Moderate rains are expected over #TawiTawi(TurtleIslands), #ZamboangaDelNorte, #ZamboangaSibugay(Payao, Imelda and Malangas) within the next 2-3 hours. Moderate to occasionally heavy rains are being experienced in #TawiTawi(Mapun), #Sulu(Pangutaran), #ZamboangaSibugay(Alicia, Mabuhay, Talusan and Olutanga) which may persist within 2-3 hours and may affect nearby areas.

PCSO’s Handog Pospas benefits 1,000 Surigaonons

Surigao City (6 September) - Some 1,000 Surigaonons were the fortunate recipients of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office’s Handog Pospas/feeding activity in Brgy. San Juan, Surigao City Sunday, September 6, 2009.

The activity is in line with the 75th anniversary of PCSO dubbed as the “100 Percent in One Day” project, which aims to cover all of the country’s 41,995 barangays for the feeding, medical, dental and information-gathering mission. The said project is also envisioned to be a window for marginalized Filipinos from all over the country to access medical care and organized charity assistance.

It was well attended by people from all walks of life including officials from Brgy. San Juan and Sabang respectively.

Sabang Brgy. Captain Pacita Patiga in her short message thanked PCSO for the many contribution they have received.
