DSWD Caraga recognizes 4Ps partners in Lanuza, Surigao Sur

LANUZA, Surigao del Sur (PIA) — The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Caraga, in coordination with the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program (4Ps) Municipal Operations Office (MOO) in Lanuza, Surigao del Sur, recently conducted the 1st 4Ps Pasidungog or recognition at the municipal gymnasium, Zone II, here.
With the theme, “Tulay ng Pagkakaisa: Pagpupugay sa mga Kaakibat ng 4Ps” (Bridge of Unity: Honoring 4Ps Partners), the recognition program aimed to celebrate the contributions of partner stakeholders in advancing the implementation of 4Ps in the municipality.
The activity was attended by Lanuza Mayor Algerico Irizari, MSWDO Chief Lolita G. Cidro, barangay council officials, education and health partners, and 4Ps beneficiaries representing all the 13 barangays of the town.
Honoring outstanding partners
Pasidungog 2025 recognized the collaborative efforts of the LGU, education and health stakeholders, civil society organizations (CSO), and parent leaders in ensuring program compliance, supporting school participation, and promoting maternal and child health.

Certificates
of appreciation were also given to punong barangays, health and education
partners, CSOs, and parent leaders for their active role in 4Ps implementation.

P. Matildo, principal II of Florita Herrera-Irizari National High School,
expressed heartfelt appreciation for the recognition. “We are usually the ones
giving recognition, but this afternoon, it is a great honor for us to be
recognized for our efforts. Thank you, DSWD, thank you 4Ps, and thank you, MOO
Lanuza!”
Meanwhile,
Mayor Irizari emphasized the value of partnership, stating, “I’m very thankful
as DSWD for its 16 years of 4Ps in Lanuza. The multiple transitions have helped
many beneficiaries. We are also grateful to our partners in health and
education, and the barangay LGUs, for working together. We assure our continued
support for the program’s success.”
Engaging
the community
The event
also featured a dance contest among 4Ps beneficiaries from each barangay. First
place was awarded to Barangay Nurcia, second place to Barangay Bocawe, and
third place to Barangay Agsam. All participating barangays received consolation
prizes for their participation and effort.
Through formal recognition of achievements, Pasidungog 2025 fosters motivation, strengthens inter-agency collaboration, and promotes a culture of service excellence, good governance, and shared accountability. (NGPB, PIA Surigao del Sur)
