Tandag City gets new rescue vehicle

TANDAG CITY (PIA) — The Tandag City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) recently received a brand new rescue vehicle at the City Hall compound in Barangay Awasian.
The turnover ceremony was led by Mayor Roxanne C. Pimentel, who personally turned over the vehicle to CDRRMO chief Reyveen John Geli.
The rescue vehicle is fitted with advanced life-saving equipment, enabling the CDRRMO to respond more swiftly and efficiently to emergencies such as search-and-rescue operations, medical emergencies, and disaster evacuations.
Pimentel highlighted the city’s unwavering commitment to public safety and the welfare of its constituents.
“This vehicle is not just a mode of transport; it is a symbol of our continued commitment to saving lives and delivering prompt and reliable public service,” she said.
The local chief executive underscored the city government’s proactive approach in investing in disaster risk reduction and ensuring that frontliners have the right tools and support to fulfill their mission.
Meanwhile, the CDRRMO chief expressed gratitude to the city leadership for the continuous support to the risk frontliners and reaffirmed their unwavering commitment to safeguarding lives, strengthening community resilience, and responding to emergencies with compassion and professionalism.
