 Agusan Sur sends off security team for Naliyagan Festival

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur --- Agusan del Sur Governor Santiago B. Cane Jr. sent-off the safety and security team for the 33rd Naliyagan Festival and 58th Founding Anniversary celebrations on June 10, ahead of the festivities' opening salvo at the Datu Lipus Makapandong Cultural Center in Patin-ay, Prosperidad.

Addressing security forces, local leaders and guests, Gov. Cane emphasized the vital role of peace and order in ensuring a successful and meaningful celebration.

“As we honor our heritage and culture through the Naliyagan Festival, we must also uphold our collective responsibility to protect our communities and one another,” he said.

He commended the Philippine National Police (PNP), Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and all partner agencies for their commitment to maintaining safety throughout the weeklong festivities.

“The success of this celebration lies not only in our cultural pride but also in our united efforts to secure it,” Cane added.
