11 local entrepreneurs won in Caraga's Productivity Olympics

CABADBARAN CITY, Agusan del Norte – A total of 11 micro, small and medium entreperneurs (MSMEs) were awarded as winners of the Caraga Productivity Olympics on May 16 at Social Hall, People’s Government Center, Cabadbaran City. 

The 2025 Productivity Olympics covered the three sectors: agribusiness, industry, and service, with consideration to the asset size of the business establishment. The following winners of Agribusiness: (1) Alameda Farm Inc. – Small; (2) Amamio Farm Products – Small; (3) Janicahh Foods Corporation – Medium; and (4) JCA Agrarian Reform Beneficiaries Multi-Purpose Cooperative (JARBEMCO) – Medium. For Industry category: (1) Sarah Guarte Cakes and Pastries Shop – Micro; (2) Kirk’s Bread and Pastry House – Small; (3) Fel Bakeshop – Medium; and (4) Allen Stick & Trading – Medium. For Service category: (1) Tabon Secondary Teachers and Employees Multi-Purpose Cooperative (TASETEMCO) – Small; (2) Southway College of Technology (SOCOTECH) – Medium; and (3) VCDU Prince Hotel – Medium. 

Atty. Jason P. Balais, chairperson of Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity (RTWPB) Caraga and regional director of Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) Caraga expressed his appreciation to the MSMEs for their interest in joining the 2025 Productivity Olympics. “It is with great honor to have you all here today. This year’s Productivity Olympics awarded MSMEs base on their productivity improvement programs, productivity-based incentives and other incentives given to employees, retention and expansion of employees, and even the social inclusion and gender sensitivity related activities of the employer. All of these made you our regional winners.”

RTWPB Vice Chairperson Gay A. Tidalgo, regional director of the Department of Trade and Industry, (DTI) Caraga, expressed gratitude to all the participants and awardees. 

She also thanked the Secretariat for doing a job well done in the Productivity Olympics. “As I have mentioned in the past, the Secretariat always makes the Board’s job easier. During meeting and deliberations, all documents are in place and ready. So with that, I also want to thank and congratulate the Secretariat headed by Board Secretary VI Earl D. dela Victoria.”

Meanwhile, Cristy Uy of VCDU Prince Hotel, on behalf of the winners, expressed profound gratitude to the RTWPB Caraga and vowed to continuously create an environment where every employee feels valued and empowered, signifying the integral part of the collective success of the establishment.
