SURIGAO CITY, Surigao del Norte -- The Port Management Office (PMO) of Surigao kicked off its 2025 Internship and Work Immersion Program with a series of orientation sessions for students embarking for the on-the-job training (OJT) and work immersion.
These sessions provided the students with practical exposure to various office environments within the PMO.
Port Manager Froilan U. Caturla led the orientation, welcoming students from different schools in Surigao City and in the province of Bukidnon. In his address, Caturla shared his inspiring journey from the ranks to becoming the leader of the PMO, emphasizing the importance of professionalism and dedication despite the challenges and risks faced in the line of duty.
Following the orientation, students were assigned to relevant divisions and terminal management offices (TMO) based on their respective courses.
PMO Surigao has a long-standing tradition of collaborating with state universities and colleges (SUCs), and senior high schools (SHS) to raise awareness about the Philippine Ports Authority's organizational values, career opportunities, and contributions to the national government.
