FORECAST: The Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. These conditions may lead to possible flash floods or landslides, especially during moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall. The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also influenced by the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be light to moderate from the southwest, with slight to moderate seas (wave height between 0.6 to 2.1 meters).

 MARINA-13 advocates for Ligtas Byaheng Dagat

BUTUAN CITY- The Maritime Industry Authority (MARINA) Caraga, represented by Regional Director Ninfa Dominguez-Martinez, along with its employees, conducted a Maritime Safety Caravan dubbed  as "Ligtas Byaheng Dagat" in Libjo, Dinagat Islands on February 11.

This campaign served as a cornerstone of MARINA's 10-year Maritime Industry Development Plan (MIDP 2019-2028) to foster a robust safety culture within the maritime sector through partnerships, town hall meetings, information dissemination, and other initiatives.

The Maritime Safety Culture Awareness Campaign Caravan commenced with a vibrant motorcade through the thoroughfares of Libjo, Dinagat Islands. The event saw active participation from various city government officials, representatives from the Philippine Coast Guard, and the members of the shipping industry. Additionally, the signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the local government of Libjo highlighted the activity. (MARINA Caraga/PIA-Dinagat Islands)
