It is moving Westward slowly. Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands and Camiguin Island will have rains with gusty winds due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains with at times intense rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. While the rest Northern Mindanao, the rest of Caraga, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will have Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong winds from Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 2.8 meters). Elsewhere, moderate to strong winds from the Northwest to Southwest with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters). Surigao Sur solons deliver a multipurpose vehicle to Marihatag town

MARIHATAG, Surigao del Sur (PIA) -- A heartfelt moment of unity and progress unfolded on January 8 as 1st District Congressional Representative Romeo S. Momo Sr., and 2nd District Congressional Rep. Johnny T. Pimentel handed over a multipurpose vehicle to the leaders and residents of Barangay Poblacion, Marihatag, Surigao del Sur.

The new vehicle is more than transportation—it’s a lifeline for the local residents of the community, supporting emergencies, transport, and daily operations in Barangay Poblacion.

The ceremony was marked by warm smiles and genuine gratitude from barangay leaders and residents alike. “This vehicle will make a huge difference in our lives,” Jen said, a resident of the place who shared that the barangay can now respond faster to emergencies and support their community better with the  new vehicle.

For the solons, the moment symbolized their commitment to bridging gaps and addressing the needs of the people they serve. “This isn’t just about delivering a vehicle,” Rep. Momo said. “It’s about empowering communities and ensuring no one is left behind.”
