FORECAST: The Zamboanga Peninsula will experience cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. These conditions may lead to possible flash floods or landslides, especially during moderate to occasionally heavy rainfall. The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms also influenced by the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be light to moderate from the southwest, with slight to moderate seas (wave height between 0.6 to 2.1 meters).

24 Caraga LGUs conferred with the Seal of Good Local Governance

BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Caraga recently celebrated the victory of the 24 local government units (LGUs) in the region for earning the esteemed Seal of Good Local Governance (SGLG) for Calendar Year 2024.

The awarding ceremony, held at the Tent City, Manila Hotel, Manila was attended by DILG Caraga Dir. Maria Loisella E. Lucino, together with Assistant Regional Dir. Donald A. Seronay, city and provincial directors, Local Government Monitoring and Evaluation Division (LGMED) chief, SGLG regional and provincial focal persons, and a representative from the civil society organization (CSO), as well as the local chief executives of the awarded LGUs, accompanied by their respective DILG Field Officers.
