DILG distributes incentives to barangay tanods in Butuan City

BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) in Butuan City, in partnership with the city government of Butuan, successfully distributed incentives to the barangay tanods.

A total of P7,295,000 from the Peace and Order Fund was allocated, benefiting 1,275 barangay tanods from the 86 barangays.

To ensure a smooth and systematic process, the release and distribution was organized into four clusters on December 26, 27, 29 and 30, respectively, prioritizing order and efficiency.

This initiative underscored the city government's commitment to empowering and recognizing the vital role of barangay tanods in maintaining peace and order across communities.

The DILG Butuan City commended the city government and barangay leaders for their efforts in making this activity a success.

It also reaffirms its support for programs that strengthen grassroots governance and enhance public safety. (Arvin Reyes Silvosa, DILG-Caraga/PIA-Caraga)
