(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Friday, 05 December 2025) At 3:00 PM today, the center of Tropical Depression "WILMA" was estimated based on all available data at 180 km East of Borongan City, Eastern Samar (11.7°N 127.1°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 55 km/h. It is moving Westward slowly. Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands and Camiguin Island will have rains with gusty winds due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains with at times intense rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. While the rest Northern Mindanao, the rest of Caraga, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will have Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong winds from Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 2.8 meters). Elsewhere, moderate to strong winds from the Northwest to Southwest with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters). DSWD’s livelihood program releases P10M to 23 associations in Agusan Norte

BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) through the Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) handed over seed capital amounting to P10 million to 23 SLP associations in the municipalities of Agusan del Norte at the Cabadbaran gymnasium, recently.

Four accredited civil society associations in Buenavista received P450,000 in their respective associations, namely: Brgy. 10 - Womens SLPA; Brgy. Talo-ao - TODA SLPA ; Malambuon Alubijid SLPA; and Malipayong Manapa SLPA.

DSWD Assistant Regional Director for Operations Jean Paul S. Parajes, said that this is the 2nd time in Agusan del Norte to receive the turned over checks from the SLP.

The following are the total amount released per municipality: 

·      Buenavista - P1.8M (4 SLPA) 

·      Cabadbaran City - P1.9M (5 SLPA) 

·      Carmen - P 450,000 (1 SLPA) 

·      Jabonga - P900,000(2 SLPA) 

·      Kitcharao- 450,000 (1 SLPA) 

·      Magallanes - 900,000(2 SLPA) 

·      Nasipit - 1.35 M (3 SLPA) 

·      RTR - 450,000 (1 SLPA) 

·      Santiago - P900,000 (2 SLPA) 

·      Tubay - P900,000 (2 SLPA) 

SLP- Regional Program Coordinator Reynaldo Roi E. Cabusao, said that SLP aims to improve the socio-economic conditions of the poor, vulnerable, and marginalized households and communities in our country. 

Second District of Agusan del Norte Congressional Representative Dale B. Corvera encouraged the recipients saying, "unta maka tabang kini sa Inyong asosasyon sa pag lambo nga maka generate kamo ug income."
