(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Saturday, 19 July 2025) As of 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression “CRISING” was located at 530 km east of Juban, Sorsogon (13.0°N, 128.9°E). It has maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 70 km/h. It is moving west-northwest at 15 km/h. Tropical Depression Crising is currently affecting Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte, while the Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) continues to affect the rest of Mindanao. Dinagat Islands and Surigao del Norte will experience cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms due to TD Crising. Flash floods or landslides are possible during moderate to at times heavy rainfall. Zamboanga Peninsula, Northern Mindanao, and the rest of Caraga will have cloudy skies with scattered rainshowers and thunderstorms caused by the Southwest Monsoon. The rest of Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms, also due to the Southwest Monsoon. Winds will be moderate from the southwest to west, with moderate seas (wave height: 1.2 to 2.5 meters).

Agusan Sur police officers recognized for their outstanding performance

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- The Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO), under the leadership of Provincial Director Police Colonel Yahya Bustamante Yusup, recognized another batch of deserving personnel, during the Monday flag raising ceremony, at the ADSPPO Parade Ground. The Provincial Investigation and Detective Management Unit served as the Office of Primary Responsibility (OPR) for the event.

The ceremony honored the police stations and personnel for their exemplary commitment to their duties through the presentation of awards and commendations.

For outstanding police operations covering September 23-29, 2024, the San Francisco Municipal Police Station (MPS) was recognized as the Top 1 unit, receiving certificates for both its overall accomplishments and its performance during the 1-Day Simultaneous Regionwide Implementation of Search Warrants for Violations of Republic Act (R.A.) 9165 and R.A. 10591. Trento MPS was also recognized as Top 2 and Bayugan City Police Station as Top 3.

Certificates of Commendation were awarded to San Luis and Sta. Josefa MPS for being the Top 1 stations in the enforcement of special laws in rural municipalities, followed by Rosario MPS as Top 2.

The 1st Agusan del Sur Provincial Mobile Force Company (1st ADSPMFC) was also recognized as the top-performing maneuver force for special law enforcement accomplishments.

In addition, Police Staff Sergeant Leodeber R. Tulang received a Certificate of Commendation for his outstanding dedication and exemplary performance as the E-rogue Police Non Commissioned Officer (PNCO).

During the ceremony, three units of computers were turned over to ADSPPO by the Public Safety Savings and Loan  Association Inc. (PSSLAI) represented by Razel Damarillos-Alta, account representative, Public Safety Savings and Loan Association, Inc. (PSSLAI) Butuan City Branch.
