(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Tuesday, 09 December 2025) At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "WILMA" was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Matuguinao, Samar (12.2°N 125.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Shear Line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.1 meters). Elsewhere, moderate winds from the northwest to southwest to southeast with moderate seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters).

Financial assistance awarded to RTWPB-13’s productivity Olympics winners

Butuan City – Through the Department of Labor and Employment - Adjustment Measures Program (DOLE - AMP), a total of seven productivity Olympics winners received financial assistance on October 23, at Almont Inland Resort, Butuan City.

The first set of beneficiaries of this program are the winners of the Productivity Olympics of  Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board (RTWPB) Caraga namely: (1) Citrus Hill Plantation; (2) Amparitas Integrated Farm; (3) Trento Hillsview Inn; (4)  Mangagoy Farmers Fisherfolks and Community Multi-Purpose Cooperative (MAFFISCO-MPC); (5) Surigao del Sur I Electric Cooperative (SURSECO - I); (6)  Tabon Secondary Teachers and Employees Cooperative (TASETEMCO); (7)  Southway Colleges of Technology (SOCOTECH).

Initially, RTWPB Caraga endorsed a total of ten productivity Olympics winners who would  be beneficiaries of DOLE AMP.

DOLE Caraga Director Joffrey M. Suyao expressed his appreciation to RTWPB Caraga for their tireless effort in assisting the beneficiaries in their project proposals. Further, Dir. Suyao shared that Caraga is the first region in the country to successfully implement DOLE - AMP.

Andie C. Lasala of the Surigao del Sur I Electric Cooperative, a national finalist of the 2023 productivity Olympics, expressed his appreciation to DOLE Caraga and RTWPB Caraga for helping them from the preparation of their documents up until the release of the assistance.

Aside from the release of the cheque of the seven Productivity Olympics winner, a ceremonial MOA Signing was also conducted for the additional two beneficiaries of the DOLE AMP: (1) Andres Soriano Memorial Hospital Cooperative, a two-time national winner of the Productivity Olympics; and (2) La Entrada Resort and Restaurant, a Productivity Olympics regional winner.
