It is moving Westward slowly. Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands and Camiguin Island will have rains with gusty winds due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains with at times intense rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. While the rest Northern Mindanao, the rest of Caraga, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will have Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong winds from Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 2.8 meters). Elsewhere, moderate to strong winds from the Northwest to Southwest with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters). Tagbina officials complete training on financial literacy

TAGBINA, Surigao del Sur --   The local government officials of Tagbina in Surigao del Sur, including Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) treasurers, barangay bookkeepers, and Sustainable Livelihood Program (SLP) treasurers, completed the training on Financial Literacy facilitated by the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) Community Training and Employment Center (CTEC) on September 24.

With the proactive support of Mayor Glaiza Jane Polizon-Lanete, the event focused on equipping the participants with key financial management skills. This initiative formed part of the town’s broader efforts to enhance local governance and strengthen community development. The training emphasized practical approaches to financial planning, budgeting, and resource allocation, vital for the effective management of local funds.

This training is seen as an important step towards building more capable leaders and financially literate communities in Tagbina, contributing to long-term sustainable growth. Participants expressed their gratitude for the valuable knowledge and skills imparted during the session, which they believe will greatly enhance their role in community and financial governance.
