Sitio Matingue road rehab in Santiago, Agusan Norte completes
BUTUAN CITY -- The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) Caraga, and DTI - Agusan del Norte, spearheaded the ceremonial turnover of the rehabilitation and improvement of the Sitio Matingue farm-to-market (FMR) infrastructure project.
The completion of the 1.24km in Sitio Matingue, Poblacion 1, Santiago, Agusan del Norte, is expected to significantly boost income opportunities and contribute to the long-term sustainable development of the community.
The Rural Agro-Enterprise Partnership for Inclusive Development (RAPID) and Growth Project aims to improve the livelihood of small farmers and unemployed rural men and women by enhancing access to markets and strengthening selected agri-based value chains.
The DTI, as the lead agency implementing the RAPID and Growth Project through the International Fund of Agricultural Development ( IFAD), together with Governor Ma. Angelica Rosedell M. Amante of Agusan del Norte, the Congressional District Office and the municipality of Santiago. key partner agencies, including the Department of the Interior and Local Government and the Department of Public Works and Highways, along with other various stakeholders gathered with the locals to celebrate this momentous milestone.
