Kadiwa ng Pangulo offers P29 kilo of rice
BUTUAN CITY -- About 2,000 kilograms of rice were sold at P29 per kilogram to the senior citizens and persons with disabilities by the Department of Agriculture (DA) Caraga, together with the National Irrigation Administration( NIA) Caraga, during the Kadiwa ng Pangulo at DA Caraga Regional Office, Butuan City on September 13.
The affordable rice for sale was the produce of farmers who are beneficiaries of NIA’s Contract Farming Program. Under the program, qualified irrigator’s associations across the region received financial assistance for procuring farm inputs for rice production.
According to DA Caraga, more affordable rice will be sold to Kadiwa pop-up stores in the region in partnership with NIA as a staunch support to the call of President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on affordable food for the Filipinos.
Arlene B. Hambre, 63, a senior citizen, together with her daughter Diadem B. Hambre, 37, from Brgy. San Ignacio, Butuan City, expressed their gratitude as they bought the quality and affordable rice.
Daghang salamat President BBM sa barato nga bugas nga among napalit.”

Thank you very much President BBM for the affordable rice.)
Also, fresh and affordable harvests of the farmers and processed products were sold at the Kadiwa ng Pangulo.
