(PAGASA 24-HOUR PUBLIC WEATHER FORECAST as of Monday, 08 December 2025) At 3:00 AM today, the center of Tropical Depression "WILMA" was estimated based on all available data in the vicinity of Matuguinao, Samar (12.2°N 125.0°E) with maximum sustained winds of 45 km/h near the center and gustiness of up to 75 km/h. It is moving West Northwestward at 15 km/h. Shear Line affecting the eastern section of Southern Luzon. Northeast Monsoon affecting the rest of Luzon. Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms. Moderate to strong winds from northeast to northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 3.1 meters). Elsewhere, moderate winds from the northwest to southwest to southeast with moderate seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters).

PGen. Marbil visits PNP-13

BUTUAN CITY -- The highest-ranking official of the Philippine National Police (PNP), Police General Rommel Francisco D. Marbil, visited the Police Regional Office (PRO)13 on Wednesday, July 31.

The chief PNP attended the blessing of the newly installed wall cladding and glass works of the Agusan del Norte Police Provincial Office building and the  ceremonial groundbreaking of the PRO13 multi-purpose building (covered court with bleachers).

He was welcomed by PBGen. Alan M. Nazarro, PRO13 director, members of the PRO13 command group, regional staff, and other unit commanders.

Also in attendance were Enrico R. Corvera, vice-governor of Agusan del Norte as representative of Governor Maria Angelica Rosedell M. Amante; Atty. William Christian P. dela Cruz, congressional district head, who also represented Congressional Representative Jose “Joboy” S. Aquino II of the 1st district of Agusan del Norte.

During his message, PGen. Marbil highlighted the important role of a leader in an organization. He emphasized that it is the responsibility of every leader to serve and protect his men as they serve and protect the people.

“It was a quick but meaningful visit by the chief PNP, as he had another series of engagements in other areas thereafter. We are grateful to his leadership which prioritizes the morale and welfare of the people,” PBGen. Nazarro said. (PNP-Caraga/PIA-Caraga)
