DTI Agusan Norte serves 230 clients at Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair

BUTUAN CITY -- Together with 53 national government agencies, the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) in Agusan del Norte reaffirmed its unwavering commitment to support the aspiring and existing business owners during the recently concluded Bagong Pilipinas Serbisyo Fair -Agusan del Norte, hosted by the Congressional Office of the 1st District in Agusan del Norte, Representative Jose S. Aquino II, held at Caraga State University on March 22-23.

During the two-day affair, DTI - Agusan del Norte assisted a total of 230 clients, offering services ranging from business inquiries to streamlined business registration processes. Complementing its array of services, the Diskwento Caravan and Trade Fair provided a dynamic platform for local entrepreneurs to showcase their products and services. This initiative generated  a total sales amounting to P173,581.

Moreover, the Small Business Corporation, the financing arm of DTI, facilitated loan applications at P7.5 million, thereby providing vital financial support to 36 entrepreneurs, essential for their business expansion and development.

Attendees of the fair were also offered a range of services, including business name registration, business counseling sessions, product development assistance, legal advisory services, and livelihood information dissemination. Philippine Center for Entrepreneurship accredited mentor Jocelyn Yee further enriched the entrepreneurial acumen of participants through insightful coaching and mentoring sessions.

The event was attended by esteemed dignitaries, including DTI Assistant Secretary for Special Concerns Dominic Tolentino Jr., DTI-Caraga Regional Director Gay Tidalgo and Assistant Regional Director Brenda Corvera, and Provincial Director of DTI - Agusan del Norte Lorijane Sacote, whose presence supported the objectives of the fair on “mabilis, maayos, maginhawa, at masayang serbisyong pampubliko.” (Charmaine Jonine B.
