Buy-bust operation in Agusan Sur town seized illegal drug paraphernalia

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- The personnel from the Prosperidad Municipal Police Station (MPS) led by Police Lieutenant Colonel Wilson M. Corpuz, chief of police, together with Agusan del Sur Police Intervention Unit (ADS PIU) and Agusan del Sur Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (ADS PDEA), conducted a buy-bust operation at Purok-4, Brgy. Salvacion, Prosperidad of this province, which resulted in the arrest of an individual who was under the influence of illegal drugs.

Confiscated during the operation were; one (1) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet with an estimated weight of 0.16 gram of shabu worth P1,088 (subject of sale) marked as Drug Master File - 1 (DMF-1) 04/20/2024 and signature; one (1) piece heat-sealed transparent plastic sachet with an estimated weight of 0.54 grams of shabu worth P3,672 (possession) as DMF-2 04/20/2024 and signature with total grams of shabu 0.70 grams; one (1) piece P1,000 genuine bill with serial number ZS980293 (marked money) marked as DMF-3 03/20/2024 and signature; and one (1) P20 of personal money marked as DMF-4 04/20/2024 and signature.

The arrested suspect was duly informed of his constitutional rights under the Miranda doctrine and anti-torture warning and was brought to this station for proper disposition and documentation including the confiscated pieces of evidence.

Corpuz stressed that a case for Section 5,  and 11 Article II of Republic Act (RA) 9165 was being prepared for filing in court against the suspect.
