It is moving Westward slowly. Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, Dinagat Islands and Camiguin Island will have rains with gusty winds due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains with at times intense rains. Minimal to minor threat to life and property due to strong winds. While the rest Northern Mindanao, the rest of Caraga, and Zamboanga Peninsula will have Cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to TD Wilma. Possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains. The rest of Mindanao will have Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to Localized Thunderstorms. Moderate to Strong winds from Northeast to Northwest will prevail over the western sections of Mindanao with moderate to rough seas (1.5 to 2.8 meters). Elsewhere, moderate to strong winds from the Northwest to Southwest with moderate to rough seas (1.2 to 2.5 meters). Agusan Sur authorities yield grams of shabu

PROSPERIDAD, Agusan del Sur -- The dedication and commitment of the personnel from San Francisco Municipal Police Station (MPS) as the lead unit and Regional Drug Enforcement Unit (RDEU) has paved the way for a successful operation of the ongoing campaign against illegal drugs.  

Said personnel executed the buy-bust operation on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at about 10:19 PM in Purok-4A, Brgy. 5, San Francisco, Agusan del Sur, resulting in the apprehension of one suspect and the seizure of illicit substances.

This anti-illegal drugs operation resulted in the confiscation of the following items:

a. Four pieces of small heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets containing a white crystalline substance believed to be Shabu with an estimated weight of two grams and estimated SDP of P13,600.

b. Two pieces of aluminum foil strip; and 

c. Once piece of five hundred peso bill (P500) buy-bust money bearing serial number HX838984.

The arrested suspects and confiscated items are now under the custody of San Francisco MPS for proper disposition. 

According to Police Colonel Jovito Canlapan, provincial director of Agusan del Sur Police Provincial Office (ADSPPO), the law enforcement agencies are committed to ensuring that all necessary procedures and legal steps are followed to maintain the integrity of the case.

"We encouraged those struggling with drug dependency to consider rehabilitation as a path towards recovery and a drug-free life," said Canlapan.

"Further, we are calling for collaboration between law enforcement and individuals, emphasizing the shared responsibility of creating a society free from the harmful impacts of illegal drugs," he added.
