Sarangani team arrives in Bislig City for benchmarking

Bislig City, Surigao del Sur (PIA) -- The employees of the Sarangani Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO), Provincial Government of Sarangani, and Malapatan local government unit led by Governor Rogelio D. Pacquiao, paid a courtesy visit to Bislig City Mayor Florencio C. Garay on February 15 for a benchmarking activity.

Sarangani Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Officer Rene Punzalan, Senior Environment Management Specialist Emie Alvin Gler, Malapatan SB member Brandy Palarion , and Malapatan Municipal Agriculturist Mirasol Saludes also accompanied the team to keenly identify interventions and best practices  that are possible to replicate in their province.

Mayor Garay on the other hand was accompanied by City Information Officer Napoleon L. Velez, and City Environmental and Natural Resources Officer Forester Daniel P. Jabagat in welcoming the visitors and presenting the best practices of the city government.

The guests were brought to the Arboretum in Sitio Sanyata, Barangay San Roque, and the City Organic Agriculture Fisheries Complex (COAFC) to witness best practices on agroforestry and industrial tree planting.

They also visited the famous tourist attraction, Tinuy-an Falls, a tangible proof that Bislig City is a champion of eco-tourism. (City Government of Bislig/NGPB, PIA-Surigao del Sur)
